Colle Manora | Rosso Barchetta
“Rosso Barchetta wine originates in the combination of two passions and is produced with the grapes from the company’s best vineyards using sophisticated techniques. Like the famous red sports cars, this wine has a thundering voice, a reassuring reserve of strength. A simple red pen stroke coupled with a bunch of grapes: dedicated to those who love myths of the past, clean style, technology.”
Dedicated to Passion
Preselection of the grapes in the single vineyards with southern-southwesterly exposure
GRAPES USED IN ITS PRODUCTION
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot
Rosso Barchetta is intense ruby red with garnet tinges. Exceptionally elegant and characteristic bouquet. Fragrances of violet, small red fruit with a slightly spicy finish. Intense, persistent and frank. Rounded with complex aftertaste. Ripe red fruit finish.
The best grapes are selected from the most qualified vineyards. The de-stemmed grapes are left to macerate for 13 to 18 days, and the cap is delicately punched down every day. The wine is then pumped into barriques, and after 8 months two “cuvées” are selected. The first is exclusively bottled into about 1000 Magnums and rests for 12 months.
The label is an interpretation of the “chassis plate”, a car frame’s identification plate, which used to be fitted to Ferraris in the Fifties and Sixties, among them the red racing “Barchetta”. The back of the bottle can be personalized with the identification number of one’s own car, or with the name of the person the bottle is dedicated to.
