Fiamberti | Buttafuoco Vigna Sacca del Prete

Fiambert Buttafuoco Vigna Sacca del Prete is a unique red wine, which can be produced in only seven (7) towns of the Oltrepò Pavese region. Its uniqueness is due to the peculiar position of the vineyards (sun exposure, soil and micro-climate). It is a warm kind of wine when it comes to taste and smell and it is fairly strong and dark. Its great taste is the result of the aging process which is carried out in oak wood barrels. To protect the quality of this wine many producers have formed Buttafuoco Storico Club. Only local wineries from the historical area of this wine are admitted as members of the Buttafuoco Storico Club.

Buttafuoco Vigna Sacca del Prete 2012 “The idea of power connected with this historic red of Oltrepò Pavese, a blend of croatina and barbera, often flows into wines that are a bit anachronistic for concentration and tannic extraction. But here we have a complete and deep red. It combines intensity and fruity richness with a savoury, mature and dynamic flavour, with a well-balanced finish in its spicy overtones. “ Lorenzo Ruggeri, Gambero Rosso – ProWein 2018 report: the Best 10 Tasted
