Luis XIV Ánforas 2023 – DOP Alicante

A modern homage to Alicante’s ancient craftsmanship, Luis XIV Ánforas blends Monastrell (60%), Arcos (30%), and Bonicaire (10%) from old dry-farmed vineyards planted in the 1960s near Canyada, Alicante. Grown at 560 meters altitude on sandy soils, the grapes express finesse and aromatic purity typical of this historic terroir.
After fermentation with native yeasts, the wine matures in hand-crafted ceramic amphorae made from Villarrobledo clay, fired in traditional wood-burning ovens—a nod to ancient Iberian methods. This natural aging process enhances texture and preserves the vivid fruit character of the indigenous varieties.
